Domestic buyers to check first

These public sources help identify a receiving route and the right team to contact. Reviewed 2026-10-20. Confirm the crop, delivery slot and contract terms directly; published hours can change.

Cargill · Fayetteville, NC

Domestic soybean crush

Dated receiving hours

Cargill’s location page lists soybeans, the River Road receiving address and hours for the week of October 19, 2026.

Before comparing a sale

Ask grain origination for a bid covering the intended delivery period, deductions and any terms tied to feeding quality.

Perdue · Cofield, NC

Regional grain receiving and crush

Receiving status needs confirmation

Perdue lists receiving hours and grain contacts. Its July 14 statement planned a phased restart of crush and grain receiving; the feed mill had been dismantled. The location page’s hours are undated.

Before comparing a sale

Confirm soybean receiving has resumed for the required delivery window, then request the applicable bid and quality schedule.

Perdue · Chesapeake, VA

Regional crush and export connection

Facilities and contacts published

Perdue lists grain storage, a soybean crush plant, a vessel terminal and grain/container merchandising contacts at Chesapeake.

Before comparing a sale

Ask whether the intended NC supply can be received, in what volume and on what terms. Compare the extra haul and handling costs with a closer buyer.

An organic soybean sales lead in North Carolina

Published program · current offer needs confirmation · reviewed 2026-10-21

Confluence advertises a Perdue program with Greenville, NC as the delivery point and a 75¢ premium over generic organic soybeans. The sheet includes North Carolina in its service area but does not state the crop year, payment unit or full contract terms.

Listed ProVIA varieties: 35P950 (maturity 3.5), 37P218 (3.7), 44P923 (4.4) and 45P208 (4.5).

Before planting or comparing a sale

Confirm the crop year, eligible varieties, enrollment deadline and seed availability before planning production. Ask Perdue for certification requirements, the receiving address, delivery window, price unit, base bid, volume and quality terms. Compare with another accessible organic sale after seed, yield, testing, segregation and haulage costs.

The advertised premium does not establish a payment for digestible amino acids. A conventional grower would also need to account for organic production and transition requirements before comparing returns.

Check which premium applies to the sale

AGP described oil-and-protein premiums for member-owners in 2022. In summer 2025, it announced a moisture-based schedule replacing that program, effective September 1, 2025. This is a dated example of changing payment terms; it does not establish an offer to an NC grower or a digestible-amino-acid premium.

For any program, confirm the eligible seller, receiving site, delivery period and measurement basis. If a cooperative or intermediary receives the premium, establish how it affects the farmer’s settlement. Compare total receipts after changes in paid quantity and costs.

An export handler to investigate

Public sources reviewed October 21, 2026.

Scoular · Wilmington, NC

Scoular lists a Wilmington facility at 1870 Burnett Boulevard, with grain-merchandising and operations contacts. Its earlier port announcement describes transferring bulk agricultural products into export containers.

The public pages do not establish current soybean acceptance, minimum lots, segregation capacity or a buyer in Vietnam or the Philippines. Published closing times differ, so confirm the receiving slot before arranging a delivery.

Establish the route back to the farm

  • Will Scoular buy the NC beans, or handle grain owned by another seller? Who would contract with and pay the grower?
  • What minimum lot, recurring volume and delivery schedule can it accept? Who arranges storage, segregation and containers?
  • Which destinations and buyers could this facility serve? Would any quality requirement change the grower’s offer, and how would it be checked?
  • What would the farmer receive after haulage, loading, storage and other charges? Compare a dated offer with an accessible domestic sale.
